INNOVATE Holds Transnational Meeting in Munich.

House of Oyoko joined partners from Munich and Turin for a transnational meeting of the INNOVATE initiative. Participants included the Department of Labour and Economic Development of the City of Munich, ReDI School Munich, Microlab Turin, and the International Rescue Committee, alongside key local and regional stakeholders such as Mosaico, representatives from the City of Turin, and the Ukrainian Business Hub, among others.

The session focused on advancing support for migrant entrepreneurship, with discussions structured around the development needs and mutual exchange between the initiative’s two pilot projects. The Munich pilot project is led by House of Oyoko, highlighting our role in driving inclusive innovation and supporting migrant entrepreneurs at both local and international levels.

Evidence-Based support for migrant businesses launched in Munich

Support for migrant entrepreneurs to start, grow, and sustain their businesses is often inadequate or misaligned with their specific needs. To address this gap, an MPG‑led initiative was launched in Munich on 5 February 2025 as part of the INNOVATE Migration Research to Policy project. House of Oyoko is proud to be part of this effort, working to strengthen local support services for migrant businesses.

In both Munich and Turin, a structured policy dialogue will be established through a roundtable process. This dialogue will bring together key stakeholders — including business support agencies, incubators, chambers of commerce, migrant business associations, and researchers. Coordinated by the respective municipalities, the roundtables will ensure a collaborative, evidence‑based, and impact‑driven approach to advancing migrant entrepreneurship
